CLEAN CLASSY CONTEMPORARY
This set came in two boxes. I put the chairs together in less than a half hour. If you don't look at the arrows on the chrome legs (part that is screwed to chair)it will not line up. I could have cut 10 minutes off assembly had I done that! The table was easy to put together too but requires a strong person to lift and turn or an extra pair of hands to help. It is a simple but classy set. The oval glass tapers gracefully at both ends. The chairs are quite comfortable for hard surface seating. There is a nice back supporting curve to the design. These chairs are design classics and will always be in style. The design of the set will work well with contemporary transitional or ecclectic rooms. Because the top is glass and the style is so clean it has a light foot print. In other words if you have a lot of dark or heavy pieces nearby it might dwarf the set. The second tier of glass is a nice feature. I put a very geometric piece on it. This adds interest (and color if you want) to table. When you install the smaller glass tier it's frosted. Put the textured side on facing the floor. You will still have the effect without the cleaning problem. Also if you want to put holiday or occassion decor on smaller tier you will have the effect of a centerpiece and the use of your whole table top. If you like clean lines and classic contemp go for it! You won't be sorry. This table and chairs looks far more expensive than it's veryveryvery reasonable price. Click on some of the contemp furn houses and you will similar items for $2000.00 and up! I do home staging for a living and I'd use this set in a high $ home. I'm really happy!
